Olvera Street

The weekend before Halloween my Husband and I decided to take a mini vacation to Los Angeles! Our original plan was to go to Universal Studios therefore we booked our hotel at the Hilton right next door to the theme park. This of course was before we found out I have a bun in the oven (Baby #2) so our plans had to be adjusted. Acting as tourist we stopped at Olvera Street, a Mexican marketplace located in the birthplace of LA. If you love native art, colors, and candy this is the spot. Did I mention they have fruit stands?! I left longing for a $500 Frida inspired Huipil and Tehuana skirt but I think for that price I rather take a road trip to Mexico and purchase directly from the source. Feliz Dia De Los Muertos.
